As we know, Green Day will be one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees later this month in Cleveland. But the group, which has been on a hiatus over the past year, is making sure they have their live chops in shape before hitting the Rock Hall stage.

The band just announced that they will be playing the House of Blues in Cleveland on April 16, two days before they are inducted into the Rock Hall. An exclusive pre-sale for Green Day's Idiot Nation fan club starts tomorrow (April 2) at 10AM ET. The public on sale will follow on April 3 at 10AM ET.

Green Day posted a photo earlier this month of the band's members in the studio captioned with the comment, "1st Jam in a Year." That would seemingly be for the upcoming appearance at the Rock Hall.

The band has undergone some life-changing events in the past year. Last year, guitarist Jason White was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and bassist Mike Dirnt's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. But it's not been all bad news, as drummer Tre Cool tied the knot in a ceremony last fall.

Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently spoke about all the happenings with the band, stating, "I think of [2015] as us kind of regrouping and getting together more. I want to make sure everyone's head is in the right place and wants to start doing it again. I think this is a great time for us to reflect. With the Hall of Fame here, we can look back with gratitude and reflect with gratitude without feeling like it's some nostalgic trip."

It is not known if the band is planning anything beyond the Rock Hall week festivities. The group will be inducted along with Joan Jett, Ringo Starr, Bill Withers, Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and the 5 Royales. Fall Out Boy will be on hand to provide the induction speech for Green Day.
