Yesterday (April 29), it was announced that Zakk Wylde had officially rejoined Ozzy Osbourne's band and would be featured with the group on all of their upcoming shows. Unlike so many other reunions in recent years, the rumors were quiet on this one and left fans wondering what happened to Gus G. who has been Ozzy's guitarist since 2009.

The world-class shredder issued a response on Facebook (post below), thanking the Osbourne family for the opportunity, the fans for their acceptance and welcomed Zakk Wylde back to the fold.

"It's been an honor and a privilege playing by your side since 2009. Nothing but great times and an experience of a lifetime."To Ozzy and Sharon - thanks for everything, love ya!" Gus wrote. He went on to personally thank those he worked close with, exclaiming, "To Blasko, Adam and Tommy - been a pleasure rocking with you!"

Offering his thoughts on the reunion, the six-stringer added, "As a fan, it's great to see Ozzy and Zakk back together. It's been long overdue," and extended his gratitude towards the fans, commenting, "Last but not least - thanks to all the fans that showed love and support all these years, see you out there soon! Ozzy rules!"

Gus G. performed on Ozzy's latest record, Scream, which was released in 2010. The guitarist has remained busy with Firewind and his solo band, cutting five studio albums between both groups since Scream was released, with the most recent being Firewind's Immortals, which came out earlier this year.

Wylde's first show back with Ozzy will be on July 14 at the Rock USA festival. A list of all upcoming Ozzy Osbourne dates can be found here.
