It’s been more than two years since Halestorm’s self-titled debut album dropped, but Lzzy Hale insists fans eagerly anticipating the band’s sophomore release won’t have too much longer to wait.

“We’ve just been in the middle of making this record, we have it half-way done,” the singer recently told the KLAQ morning show in El Paso, Texas. “We’re about to go [back into the studio] and knock out a few more songs, then kick it out into the world. We’re really excited about it.”

“Most likely we’re gonna have a single for you before the end of the year," Hale continues. “We’ll release [the album in] during the first quarter [of next year], that’s the plan as of now.” No word yet on what the album will be called.

Halestorm currently are focused on the studio -- they only have one live date, a Dec. 30 show in Uncasville, Conn., lined up -- but their fans are never far from their mind. "To be able to meet different people and do this rock thing together with our fans ... it's kind of a weird camaraderie we've developed with them."
