Back in November, Nonpoint announced that they had inked a new record deal with Razor & Tie and were working on a new album with an expected 2012 release date.

Shortly after that announcement, guitarist Zach Broderick and bassist Ken MacMillan left the band but frontman Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera were committed to continue with or without them, writing the new album and replacing their lost members. With a reported 21 songs under their belt, the band had their work cut out for them.

Here we are a few months later and while there's no update yet on new members, Nonpoint have taken to their Facebook page asking fans their input on a possible cover song for the new album, proving they're still hard at work. They are requesting song ideas from the 70s and 80s to possibly make the cut. Here's the full message from the band:

We have been talking about a cover tune for the album and honestly we are not even sure but give us your choices. We asked this before but now the thread seems to have been taken down so give us your thoughts. May we add no current bands please. gives your best 70's or 80's cover!!!!

So far the fan submitted song suggestions run the gamut from Megadeth to Poison to Journey, leaving the field pretty wide open. If you want to weigh in with your opinion or song idea, visit the band’s Facebook page.
