Incorruptible is the 12th studio album from Iced Earth, set to arrive on June 16 through Century Media. The band whet their fans' collective appetite by performing the new track "Great Heathen Army" on tour and now the first official single has arrived by way of a lyric video for the hard-charging "Seven-Headed Whore."

A Slayer-esque riff opens the song (nothing wrong with that!) with a descending, tone-setting melody. Stu Block's rigid, venemous vocal delivery works in perfect harmony with the stuttering chugs that dominate the verse as a flurry of double kicks keep everything roaring forward. Block, already an incredibly dynamic singer, opened it up even more on "Seven-Headed Whore," unleashing a series of eardrum-shattering falsetto shrieks as the chorus approaches.

This concise cut (just over three minutes in length) is classic Iced Earth, boasting a powerful, memorable chorus as always, balancing the more rigid rhythmic aspects of their sound with a catchy refrain. New axeman Jake Dreyer was not part of the writing process, but did contribute guitar solos to the record, putting on a fireworks display on "Seven-Headed Whore."

Digital pre-orders for Incorruptible can be placed through iTunes where fans will receive an instant gratification download of the new single upon purchase. For physical options (CD and vinyl) head to the Iced Earth webstore.
