Anticipation is high as Iron Maiden plot the release of their second video game, Legacy of the Beast. The first installment came back in 1999 with the PC CD-Rom game, Ed Hunter. This time, Eddie’s platform will be the iOS and Android operating systems as the undead mascot fights his way through several levels featuring nods to Iron Maiden’s robust history. Now, the first glimpse of the game has been made available through an official trailer that can be seen above.

The beloved mascot is seen traveling through a rift in space as Maiden’s “The Man Who Would Be King” transitions into “The Legacy” playing in the background. Vincent Price’s eerie voice comes in from the unmistakable intro on “The Number of the Beast” and a Bruce Dickinson siren scream can be heard as well. Eddie prepares to do battle with the Devil at the end of the clip, which will surely send fans rushing to the app store to download. There’s only one problem — the game won’t be out until the summer!

Legacy of the Beast was developed by Roadhouse Interactive and 50cc Games in addition to Iron Maiden’s management, Phantom Management Group. The British group’s music will be featured in the game with songs spanning their entire career along with some previously unreleased live versions of Maiden’s biggest hits. Steve Harris commented on the game, stating, “We always thought Maiden’s music and imagery with Eddie could be perfect for gaming and it’s something we have been looking at doing again since Ed Hunter in 1999. Now in 2016 it can all be done on a smartphone which makes it even more accessible for all our fans and also all the gamers out there.”

Iron Maiden are currently underway on their The Book of Souls world tour, which kicked off in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. on Feb. 24. The tour will span 35 countries as the band flies their brand new Boeing 747-400 Ed Force One jumbo jet branded with their logo and infamous mascot around the world with Dickinson serving as the pilot.
