Jane’s Addiction have premiered the video for ‘Irresistible Force,’ the first official single from ‘The Great Escape Artist,’ their first album in eight years.

"It's a huge departure from what people would expect from Jane's Addiction sonically," guitarist Dave Navarro told Rolling Stone of the song. "There's a lot of space and depth to the verses and song structure, yet it has an element of power and emotion that does go back to the old days of Jane's Addiction."

The video for 'Irresistible Force' finds Jane's Addiction performing the tune amidst tripped-out effects with a slew of beautiful women interspersed between the shots of the band. The visuals match up well with the ethereal nature of the song.

Jane's Addiction recently were forced to cancel a scheduled performance at England's Reading Festival as singer Perry Farrell was battling severe throat issues. "He was completely unable to produce any sound vocally," read a statement from the band. Jane's are expected to tour extensively behind ‘The Great Escape Artist,' which is due out Oct. 4.
