Jane's Addiction recently revealed their participation in the 25th anniversary of Lollapalooza, but that's not the only major anniversary they'll celebrate this year. The group's Ritual de lo Habitual is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary and the band is planning a "Sterling Spoon Anniversary Tour" to honor the album and the period in which it was first popular.

The shows are meant to celebrate not only the Ritual de lo Habitual album cycle but also the era that launched Lollapalooza, with Dinosaur Jr. and Living Colour -- two acts that were big during that period -- signing on to provide support on the run. For these shows, Jane's Addiction will perform tracks spanning their entire catalog with a special emphasis on the Ritual de lo Habitual album.

The "Sterling Spoon Anniversary Tour" will kick off July 15 in Brooklyn, N.Y. at the opening of the Coney Island Amphitheatre and will continue through the band's July 30 performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park.

The Ritual de lo Habitual album climbed to No. 19 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart back in 1990, with the tracks "Stop," "Been Caught Stealing," "Classic Girl," "Three Days" and "Then She Did …" helping to make it one of Jane's most revered discs. The album reached triple-platinum status in the U.S. and "Been Caught Stealing" earned Jane's Addiction a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance.

As for the support acts, Dinosaur Jr. made their Lollapalooza debut during the 1993 edition of the festival, having already established themselves as an alt rock favorite with albums like Bug, Green Mind and Where You Been, the latter of which arrived the same year they played Lollapalooza. Living Colour, meanwhile, were part of the inaugural Lollapalooza in 1991, riding the hot streak from their stellar first two albums -- Vivid and Time's Up. The timing of this trek works well for Living Colour as their sixth studio album, Shade, is expected this fall.

Tickets for the run go on sale next Friday (April 15) at 10AM local time through Ticketmaster.
