John 5 has shown his fondness for horror movies and the guitar great has chosen to pay tribute to another movie genre with a new video that pays homage to the sci-fi classic, Planet of the Apes.

In his latest clip for "Here's to the Crazy Ones," John and his girl are kicked back on the couch watching the sci-fi classic when he nods off to sleep and dreams of himself and his band The Creatures as characters in the film. Director Matt Zane and the makeup team of Laney Chantal, Miranda Jory and Karloffornia Casey do a stellar job of transforming John 5 and the band, as they rock out in the yard and later host a party for human women while screening their own movies.

Rather than go the full album route, John 5 and his Creatures bandmates Rodger Carter and Ian Ross have been releasing a song and video each month this year, with "Here's to the Crazy Ones" being the latest track to surface. Though a full album release has not been confirmed as yet, it would not be a surprise to see all of the songs eventually compiled. But at present, you can now purchase "Here's to the Crazy Ones" via digital retailers.

John 5 has also come up with some pretty awesome artwork for the song and video which can be seen below. There is a limited edition run of posters available at John 5's webstore.
