Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 certainly has an impressive range in his craft. Besides shredding for Zombie, the axe-man has played with Marilyn Manson and David Lee Roth, as well as releasing a slew of his own instrumental records. John 5 is about to add ‘film composer’ to his long list of credentials, as he has been recruited by bandmate Rob Zombie to score his upcoming film, ‘The Lords of Salem.’

Rob Zombie shares his excitement regarding John 5′s participation in the film, “A soundtrack that shreds. Guitar God JOHN FIVE has signed on as the composer of THE LORDS OF SALEM. John totally understands the vibe of the film and is the perfect choice to create the music,” wrote Zombie.

‘The Lords of Salem’ will tell the story of a DJ in Salem who turns club-goers into a horde of demonic minions after she places the needle to a cursed piece of vinyl. As he did for ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ and ‘The Devils Rejects,’ Rob Zombie has written and will direct ‘Lords of Salem.’ Zombie has also recruited the production team behind the ‘Paranormal Activity’ films to lend their hand to his newest film.

The movie is set for release in early 2012.
