Album number 13 from Canada's leaders in pummeling melodic death groove, Kataklysm, is coming.

For the first time in over a decade, the group worked together in the same room to write the 10 tracks that will make up Meditations. It was this process that yielded career-defining albums like Shadows and DustSerenity in Fire, and In the Arms of Devastation, all which gave rise to Kataklysm's 21st century prominence.

"This is a very personal album to me with old wounds being revisited – I felt a big urge to pour my soul into this release," states frontman Maurizio Iacono The boys and I were isolated under the same roof during the writing process, just like we did in the early days...with no worries except having fun, being honest and delivering a serious album that represents us today but respects our past. Our new story is coming and we are eager to share it with you!"

Meditations was produced by the band's own Jean-François Dagenais (guitar) and Oli Beaudoin (drums) and mixed by Jay Ruston, who helmed Anthrax and Stone Sour's latest records. Paul Logus mastered the album, which does not have a release date yet, but will arrive sometime this year on Nuclear Blast. Check out the artwork and track listing below.
