Metal Blade

It's time to get to know Serpentine Dominion, though the members of the band will be familiar to most metal fans. The trio features Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Cannibal Corpse belter George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher and former Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas, and they've just completed their first new album.

The disc is a self-titled offering, currently on schedule for an Oct. 28 street date via Metal Blade Records.

The band's origins started in 2009 when Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse and Black Dahlia Murder were all part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Dutkiewicz got the ball rolling, suggesting that he wanted to write a record with Fisher, while Lucas offered his services on drums. But given the schedules of all involved, it was a slow process of coming together. Eventually, with some writing assistance from Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach, the album did come to fruition.

A nine-song self-titled collection will arrive at the end of October, featuring the song "The Vengeance in Me," which is the first release for the band. Hit play on the player at the top of this post to hear the crushingly heavy new song delivered by this killer trio.

You can pre-order the disc in CD and multiple vinyl formats, as well as part of a bundle package, at this location. Stay tuned for more on Serpentine Dominion.
