The return of King Diamond to the concert stage has been a welcome one and the legendary rocker will be dipping into his past when he continues touring this fall. The vocalist and his band will perform the classic 1987 album Abigail in its entirety.

King Diamond will join Exodus in finishing out the year on a high note. Their trek kicks off Oct. 29 in Denver and runs through a Dec. 5 finale in Dallas. Exodus will open the shows. Tickets for the trek go on sale this Friday (Aug. 7) at 10AM ET.

The Abigail disc was released in 1987 and was King Diamond's first concept album, detailing the story of a couple from the 1800s who moved into a mansion haunted by a deceased relative who tells the husband that his wife is carrying the spirit of a stillborn child and unless he kills his wife, the possessed child will be reborn. The disc proved so popular that King Diamond revisited the story with 2002's Abigail II: The Revenge.

King Diamond just finished their run as part of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, appearing on the main stage and second billed to Slayer. Revisit our coverage of the Jones Beach and San Bernardino stops here and here.
