Korn Frontman: ‘Obama Is an Illuminati Puppet’

Nu-metal legends Korn aren’t known as one of rock’s most political bands, but frontman Jonathan Davis certainly has his strong political views. During Korn’s track-by-track breakdown of their new album ‘The Path of Totality’ for Billboard, Davis shared his heavy criticism of the Obama administration, causing a stir within the music community.

The single ‘Politics’ from their Korn’s 2005 album ‘See You on the Other Side,’ focuses on how Davis doesn’t like to talk about politics, but it seems like the Korn frontman is in the midst of a love-hate relationship. “I’m political to a point where it affects human life,” Davis told MTV in 2006. “From global warming to abortion issues to my gun rights, stuff like that. Those are the kind of politics that I care about.”

We recently covered Korn’s in-depth discussion of their metal-meets-dubstep experiment, but Davis’ explanation of the track ‘Illuminati’ begs its own spotlight. “I’ve been really getting into the Illuminati and the whole conspiracy theory – the New World Order,” explained Davis. “It’s entertaining to me. If it’s true, it’s true; if it’s not it’s not, I don’t care — but it’s been a little pet project of mine.”

“I feel like Obama’s an Illuminati puppet… it’s basically dragged this country down into the worst it’s ever been,” claimed Davis. “Like I say about the White House, ‘You’ve built this house of shame’ — the White House used to be, everybody looked up at the White House and America and everything, and now I think it’s like a house of shame. I miss the old days when people were proud to be American.”

Korn offer more in-depth analysis of their 10th album, ‘The Path to Totality,’ in their exclusive track-by-track discussion with Billboard.
