Korn Announce Remix Contest for Opening Slot at Future Concert

To celebrate the release of Korn's experimental dubstep-influenced album, 'The Path of Totality,' the band has began a competition for creative minds to remix the singles, 'Get Up!' and 'Narcissistic Cannibal.' A winning DJ will be chosen by the band and will be given the opportunity to open for Korn at one of their upcoming gigs.

Already having collaborated with dubstep giants such as Skrillex, Downlink and Noisia, Korn will pick one DJ to join those acts as a part of Korn's dubstep journey. The remix competition, run by Talenthouse, offers the individual isolated recordings of every digital track within 'Get Up!' and 'Narcissistic Cannibal' for free download - to be manipulated by DJs at their own will.

Two prizes will be awarded once the winner of the remix war is revealed. First prize is 'Korn's Choice,' where the band picks their favorite remix and awards the triumphant DJ an opening slot at a future Korn show with travel expenses and two nights' accommodation paid in full. The four runners-up will have their remixes featured on Korn's social media channels with some signed Korn merch to top it off.

The second prize is the 'People's Choice' award, where the highest voted artist will win exclusive Korn swag and will also have their re-imagining featured on Korn's various social media channels.

Submissions must be sent to Talenthouse by Jan. 9, 2012, with online voting to occur from Jan. 10 - Jan. 16, 2012. The winners will be announced on Feb. 7, 2012.
