Who's ready for some sweet Georgian sludge? Kylesa have been making gooey waves for well over a decade, and now the band is soon to release their sixth studio album, 'Ultraviolet.' Audiences will have to wait until May 28 to hear 'Ultraviolet' in full, but we've got the exclusive premiere of the new track 'Vulture's Landing' to help ease you through the waiting process.

Kylesa have already revealed two tracks from 'Ultraviolet' this year, including the mesmerizing 'Unspoken' and the consuming 'Quicksand,' but 'Vulture's Landing' offers fans yet another peek into the unpredictable ride that is 'Ultraviolet.' The fully baked sludge merchants have always taken listeners through peaks, valleys and dense forests, but 'Vulture's Landing' feels much more like uncharted territory.

Kylesa's Southern mudslide roots are firmly intact throughout 'Vulture's Landing,' but singer-guitarist Laura Pleasants gives the song a feel of misguided childhood innocence. Like a lullaby from 'A Nightmare on Elm Street,' Pleasants offers a disturbing monster-under-your-bed type of vocal progression, mysteriously mixing an almost-bubblegum pop sensibility with crushing and atmospheric guitars. A bit of tripped-out '60s rock is thrown into the brew as well, adding to Kylesa's unstable sense of sonic misdirection.

Put on your most expensive headphones or plug into your best stereo system for Kylesa's 'Vulture's Landing.' You won't want to miss a single wavelength. Check out our exclusive premiere of the song below, and if you dig what you hear, pre-order Kylesa's 'Ultraviolet' album at Season of Mist's eShop.
