Mammoth Grinder Fire a 'Blazing Burst' of Aggressive Death Metal

The band name Mammoth Grinder says it all when it comes to expectations for the group's sound: a powerful showing of guts, viscera and total carnage. This month, the band is releasing their fourth full-length album Cosmic Crypt, which provides a complete battleground of death metal intensity. Today, the group is premiering their newest track from the album, "Blazing Burst," which much like their band name is a self-describing statement of intent.

The song is two minutes of pure, unadulterated evil. The riff swells and crashes, with each element of the group moving at a breakneck pace. Frontman Chris Ulsh (who also drums in Power Trip) is truly venomous in his delivery, giving no sign of hope for the listener. The track is produced by Arthur Rizk, who has served as a production secret weapon for Inquisition, Code Orange, Power Trip and more, honing in on exactly how a band can sound best.

There's no frills to what Mammoth Grinder does. Instead the band completely focuses on death metal that's sinister and crushing. The group are becoming a fixture of underground extreme metal, spending their time to create destruction at many different lengths.
