Mark Tremonti will be playing Chicago this weekend, just not in the venue initially planned. The Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist has ceded his solo band's show at the House of Blues for the Bottom Lounge after receiving a request from Prince to move the performance.

The show was originally supposed to take place at the House of Blues at 7:30PM Sunday (Sept. 23) night, but the legendary "purple one" wanted to play an intimate performance in Chicago and had requested the venue for a warm-up date prior to his three-night stand at the United Center. After learning the venue was already booked, he reached out to Tremonti, who honored the request and moved his show to the Bottom Lounge. The show will still take place at 7:30PM Sunday, just at the new venue.

Tremonti is currently promoting his 'All I Was' debut solo album and all tickets from the House of Blues show will be honored at the Bottom Lounge. Tickets can be purchased for the show through Ticketmaster.

Tremonti just began his solo tour and has employed Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen for his current trek. Van Halen jumped into Tremonti's touring lineup after Brian Marshall pulled out of the trek at the last minute.
