Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett is a guitarist in the biggest metal band in the world, but he's also a huge horror fan and founder of Kirk Von Hammett Toys. He'll be wearing both hats on July 25 in San Diego during a free, RSVP-only party called Fear FestEvil After Party.

That's smack dab in the middle of the massive annual Comic-Con in San Diego. Thrash veterans Exodus will be playing, and Hammett will join them for a few songs. Hammett was a member of Exodus before joining Metallica. The Fear FestEvil After Party at F6IX is sponsored by Scion Audio Visual, who are teaming up with Kirk Von Hammett Toys. You can RSVP here.

"Through Scion AV, we are always looking for creative ways to merge the worlds of music and art that strike a chord with our customers," says Scion's Jeri Yoshizu. "Partnering with Kirk Hammett and his toy company helps bring distinctive music and art forms to an enthusiastic audience, which is what Scion AV is all about."

The inaugural Fear FestEvil horror and music event was held in San Francisco back in February. Hammett jammed with both Exodus and Death Angel. At that event, Exodus was fronted by Rob Dukes, but he recently left the band, replaced by the returning Steve 'Zetro' Souza. Exodus will be touring with Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies starting in November.

Hammett and his Metallica bandmates just had a triumphant performance at the Glastonbury festival in England. It was the first time a metal band headlined the historic event, and Metallica drew a lot of backlash leading up to the event. The band took it in stride, winning over the crowd and even selling a humorous shirt with some of the negative quotes. Their next European festival date is Tuesday (July 1) in Rome, Italy.
