Earlier this month, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich hinted that a Master of Puppets reissue was in the works. Now we can confirm that the band has nailed down a Nov. 10 release date for the special reissue, which will be offered by the band's own Blackened Recordings label.

The band remastered the disc and will offer it in a variety of digital and physical formats. Track listings for each of the configurations can be seen at the band's website and pre-orders for the package of your choosing can be found via the band's webstore.

Those who pre-order the standard album will receive an instant download of "Disposable Heroes (Remastered)." Those who pre-order the expanded or deluxe editions will receive an instant download of "Disposable Heroes (Remastered)" and "The Thing That Should Not Be (Live at the Aragon Ballroom, Chicago, Ill. - May 25, 1986)."

You can pick up the reissue as a standard LP, a standard CD, a three-disc expanded edition, as a limited edition deluxe box set and digitally in the standard CD, three-disc and deluxe box set offerings as well. The expanded edition includes previously unreleased demos, rough mixes, interviews, live tracks and a 28-page booklet. Meanwhile, the limited-edition box set comes with the added bonus of a 108-page hardcover book with new previously unseen photos, outtakes, previously unreleased interviews, three LPs, 10 CDs, a cassette, two DVDs, a lithograph, a folder with handwritten lyrics and a set of six buttons. Master of Puppets was initially released on March 3, 1986 by Elektra Records. In addition to the popular title track, the album features the songs "Battery," "The Thing That Shoud Not Be," "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," "Disposable Heroes," "Leper Messiah," "Orion" and "Damage, Inc." It became the first platinum-selling album for the band and went on to reach six-times platinum status in the U.S., with over 10 million copies sold worldwide. The classic album was the first metal album to be added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.
