This past Friday (May 16) marked the second annual 'Metallica Night' at the San Francisco Giants' AT&T Park, and the metal legends got the festivities going with a rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' before the Giants took on the Miami Marlins.

Frontman James Hetfield and guitarist Kirk Hammett played an instrumental version of the national anthem (watch above), as they did last year, and once again drummer Lars Ulrich threw out the first pitch. In addition, Hetfield announced the starting lineups.

Fans who attended the game got some cool Metallica-branded San Francisco Giants swag, but unfortunately for them, all that wasn't enough to help the Giants beat the Marlins, who won 7-5.
