Congrats to Metallica! The band’s current hit song “Now That We’re Dead” bested Korn’s “Black Is the Soul” in a tight Cage Match battle. The chugging, heavy rocker from Hardwired ... To Self Destruct now moves on to face a new opponent, and it doesn’t get much bigger when it comes to possible pairings.

That’s because Foo Fighters, and their current hit single “Run,” step in to take up the Cage Match challenge. This slow building rocker races toward a chaotic finish and is the centerpiece of the band’s forthcoming disc, Concrete and Gold. But do the Foos have the fury to overtake Metallica?

Which song do you want to see advance? Will it be the hard-hitting “Now That We’re Dead” from Metallica or do you prefer the mix of melodic and anthemic moments that can be heard in Foo Fighters’ “Run?” Listen to both in the players provided, then let us know which song you want to advance by voting in the poll below.

(This Cage Match will run through July 31 at 2PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)

Metallica, ‘Now That We’re Dead”

Rules of Cage Match:
Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight Cage Matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
