Former Motley Crue Opening Act The Raskins Sue for $30 Million Over Treatment on 2014 Tour

Motley Crue's management team and other parties are being sued by former opening act The Raskins for a massive $30 million. The rock duo is suing Crue for a number of reasons, including being forced to play for mostly empty venues and being sprayed with water guns filled with urine.

According to the New York Post, The Raskins paid $1 million to open for them during a 2014 tour. Logan and Roger Raskin feel like they didn’t get their money’s worth, so they’re taking Motley Crue;s team to court.

The Raskins claim they were forced to play short sets in mostly empty venues because managers refused to open doors for shows. The lawsuit also states the PA system was turned off or interfered with during Raskins performances, they weren’t allowed to sell merch, weren’t given dressing rooms and were hit with heavy equipment. The Raskins even allege Motley Crue’s crew members ran out onstage in monkey masks during a Darien, Conn., show “with water guns filled with urine.”

For these reasons, The Raskins claim their contract negotiated by Artist Group International wasn’t honored. The duo filed a claim with the Manhattan Supreme Court against AGI, Tenth Street Entertainment and other parties.
