As pirates and swashbucklers around the country descend on Tybee Island in Georgia on Oct. 4-7 for the annual Tybee Island Pirate Festival, they’ll have some rockin’ entertainment to close out Saturday night. Motley Crue singer Vince Neil will headline the entertainment portion of the event on Oct. 6.

The festival, now in its eighth year, promises a true pirate experience from a pirate village to the coronation of a King and Queen at their Buccaneer’s Ball.  Lindsay Fruchtl, director of marketing for the Tybee Island Tourism Council talked about the festival, saying, “The Tybee Island Pirate Festival offers world-class entertainment with Vince Neil and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend at one of the liveliest celebrations along the coast.”

Vince Neil and his band Motley Crue are currently out on the road with Kiss on ‘The Tour.’ The band recently released their new song ‘Sex’ to the masses, written while the band was together in Las Vegas during their residency at the Hard Rock Hotel. It marks their first new music since their 2008 disc ‘Saints of Los Angeles.'
