Muse are back with new music and a stylish new video for their single "Thought Contagion." The Lance Drake-directed clip can be viewed above.

Drake, who also helmed the band's "Dig Down" video, throws a nice little nod to that video right at the start of the new clip, which centers on a pair of young lovers walking the streets at night. But it's not long before our hero finds out he's in over his head with his date, feeling her influence start to take over his world.

Singer Matt Bellamy says, "The meaning of the song 'Thought Contagion' is about how other people's thoughts, ideas and beliefs can sometimes infect your mind, get into your head and change the way you think yourself."

Muse have been focusing more on releasing singles of late, with "Thought Contagion" following in the footsteps of last year's "Dig Down." The track was produced by Rich Costey along with the band, and mixed by Adam Hawkins. The song is now available via digital outlets and you can download or stream it via the platform of your choosing here.

Matt Bellamy and the boys will start off their 2018 touring April 20 in Monterrey, Mexico and they currently have a number of headline festival appearances, including Carolina Rebellion and Bottle Rock festivals in May and also have a headlining appearance at Bonnaroo in June.
