    Alt-rock pioneers Jane's Addiction's first new album since 2003 hits stores on Oct. 18, after a number of delays. It will be interesting to see if 'The Great Escape Artist' measures up to the band's classic albums 'Nothing's Shocking' and 'Ritual de lo Habitual.'

    Former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan shares his stories of rock 'n' roll excess in his new memoir, 'It's So Easy: and other lies.' The book, out Oct. 4, details Duff's days in GN'R and Velvet Revolver, and also reveals how Duff Beer on 'The Simpsons' was actually named after McKagan.
