More than a month ahead of the March 25 release of their greatest hits collection 'May Death Never Stop You,' the now defunct My Chemical Romance are unleashing the album's first single, 'Fake Your Death,' via iTunes this evening (Feb. 17). The song can be heard in the trailer for the album release posted above.

'May Death Never Stop You' includes an album and DVD. In addition to the previously unreleased 'Fake Your Death,' there are demo versions of songs and the band's biggest singles such as 'Welcome to the Black Parade,' 'Sing,' 'Famous Last Words' and 'The Ghost of You.' The DVD has over two hours of music video footage that includes songs like 'Helena,' 'Teenagers" and 'I'm Not OK (I Promise).'

Those who pre-ordered the album via the band's official site will get 'Fake Your Death' delivered to them today. The $34.99 package includes the CD, DVD, armband and t-shirt.

As to the reasons why MCR split last year, frontman Gerard Way, in a long essay about the breakup, wrote, "I can assure you there was no divorce, argument, failure, accident, villain, or knife in the back that caused this. Again this was no one’s fault, and it had been quietly in the works, whether we knew it or not, long before any sensationalism, scandal, or rumor."
