Sleeping With Sirens kicked off the weekend with the first of two packed shows at Best Theater on Friday (Nov. 1) with stellar support from Memphis May Fire, Breathe Carolina and Issues.

Fans came alive when Sleeping With Sirens took the stage. Even with the departure of guitarist and backing vocalist Jesse Lawson, the band put on a strong performance. Featuring a mix of melodic and dreamy vocals combined with heavy sounds and atmospheric lighting, the band’s set received a warm response from concertgoers.

Sleeping With Sirens are out on tour in support of their new album ‘Feel’ and they performed fresh tunes ‘Here We Go’ and ‘Low.’ Memphis May Fire frontman Matty Mullins came back out onstage to perform  the song ‘Congratulations,’ on which he provides guest vocals on the latest record.

When the encore came, the passion from fans grew as ‘Feel,’ ‘Alone’ and ‘If You Can’t Hang’ were performed. Sleeping With Sirens put on an emotionally charged show and these emotions were felt and emitted from the crowd throughout the night.

Memphis May Fire definitely knew how to heat things up. Throughout their performance there were multiple mosh pits on the floor and crowdsurfers swam to the front persistently, especially during ‘The Victim,’ ‘The Sinner’ and ‘Prove Me Right.’

Breathe Carolina took New York’s breath away with their fusion of rock, pop and electronic sounds. Meanwhile, opening act Issues had no problems getting fans bouncing, not to mention a pink bra also made it’s was onstage to kick off the night.
