Loudwire can exclusively reveal that Otherwise bassist Vassilios Metropoulos is parting ways with the band, and the group is beginning the audition process to find his replacement.

Metropoulos has been with the band for the last three-and-a-half years, up through their most recent album, 'Peace at All Costs,' that was issued back in September through Century Media Records.

The group issued a statement to Loudwire about Metropoulos' departure, which appears to be amicable, and also detailed how they intend to go about replacing him. Check out the quote below:

After 3 1/2 years of brotherhood, our bass player Vassilios Metropoulos will be parting ways with OTHERWISE to pursue other life interests. His last show with the band will be this Sunday, December 21, at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI.

Working with Vassilios has been an incredibly unique experience, as he has progressed from crew guy to rhythm guitar player to bass player, while also being a "jack-of-all-trades" in various disciplines behind-the-scenes. We thank him for his many tireless hours of hard work, and wish him nothing but the best as he embarks upon the next journey in his life. #LifeByMusic #Brotherhood #ThePhoenixWillAlwaysRise

Metropoulos was part of the band through their four major radio hits -- 'Soldiers,' 'I Don't Apologize (1000 Pictures),' 'Die for You' and 'Darker Side of the Moon.' At present, the band is finishing out their touring support for the year and will look to replace the bassist before continuing support of their new album in 2015.

As stated above, bassists can submit their audition information to otherwisebass@gmail.com.
