Legendary Pantera and Down frontman Phil Anselmo has made his pick in the fighting extravaganza taking place this weekend with undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather taking on UFC mixed martial artist Conor McGregor in a boxing match. Not surprisingly, the longtime boxing enthusiast thinks the whole thing is going to be a one-sided spectacle.

"Ridiculous - it's so ridiculous," he tells Ghost Cult. "Because, you know - ok. Ricky Hatton, former world champion, said it best: 'Me, Oscar de la Hoya, Canelo Alvarez, none of us could hit [Mayweather], but McGregor thinks he can?'"

The fight, which takes place this Saturday (Aug. 26) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., is being dubbed "The Money Fight."

"It's going to be a one-sided, [with] Floyd carrying [McGregor] for as long as he possibly can," Anselmo says. "He could knock him out at any point in time, and that is just that."

The battle between Mayweather and McGregor is poised to be one of the biggest pay-per-view buys in history, with each fighter expected to pull in between $75 and $100 million. Still, Anselmo is adamant that since each fighter is so different stylistically, neither would prevail in the other's arena.

"This is stand up boxing," he says. "You think Floyd is gonna repay the favor and get on the mat? Get in the octagon? Hell no. You know why? He'd lose. It's kinda like, to me, it's like, pitting a soccer team against an NFL football team and you'd be like, 'Whose rules are we gonna play by?' Yes, you're all elite athletes, but you have to be in your element to even have a chance."

But everyone has a puncher's chance in the ring - right? According to Anselmo, not this time around.

"I give McGregor zero chance -- and I like Conor. He's out of his depth here," he says. "Mayweather by landslide and he can knock McGregor out anytime he wants."
