Philip Anselmo is constantly putting out new music with a variety of different outlets and projects. This Jan. 26, Anselmo will be releasing another album under the moniker of Philip H. Anselmo and the Illegals, which promises to be one of his heaviest releases to date. Recently, he released an album cut from Choosing Mental Illness as a Virtue titled "The Ignorant Point."

Anselmo brings chaos and terror to the track, his vocals being some of the most aggressive they've been in years. Guitars sputter out of conventional metal verses into unsettling bouts of noise and aggression. It shows there's a lot left for Anselmo to conquer, with his backing band of The Illegals being more than enough to make an excellent group.

"Ignorant Point" lyrically takes aim at "fake news," as Anselmo says, “‘The Ignorant Point‘ is a tip of the hat to today’s top-notch, morally-sincere, trustworthy news agencies, websites, bloggers, etc. that have kept the public in such great spirits with their dedication to truth and honest … Burp. Keep up the good work, bullshit artists. We’ve got our collective eyes on you.”

For more Anselmo music, make sure to keep an eye out for another new project of his on the way, En Minor. The group shows him spreading his wings away from heavy metal and hard rock into the moody, subversive world of post-punk and goth. No music has been released from the project yet, but from what he says it will be a shock to the system for any fan of his output.
