The lineup for the Mitch Lucker Memorial Show Friday night (Dec. 21) was already pretty stacked, but the revelation that there would be surprise guests had many in the audience speculating who that might be. By the end of the night, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, Machine Head's Robb Flynn and Soulfly's Max Cavalera had turned up to honor the late Suicide Silence frontman, making the show even more memorable.

The fact that such high profile singers made surprise appearances showed the respect that Suicide Silence had garnered in recent years. The band's singer, Mitch Lucker, died on Nov. 1 from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident on Halloween night. In the days following the accident, the group set up a fund for Lucker's five-year-old daughter that would benefit her future education. That was followed by the idea of putting together a memorial show to honor Lucker, with a number of popular metal singers sitting in for tracks with the band.

Blythe's contribution came on the song 'You Only Live Once,' a track that had become one of the band's more popular numbers. Flynn went a different route, pulling up a chair with members of Suicide Silence to perform a stripped down version of Black Sabbath's 'Die Young.' As for Cavalera, he dug into his past with Suicide Silence joining him on Sepultura's 'Roots Bloody Roots.' Fan-shot video of some of the night's top moments can be seen below.

The evening also featured performances and testimonials from Hellyeah's Chad Gray, Winds of Plague's Johnny Plague, Impending Doom's Brook Reeves, Asking Alexandria's Danny Worsnop, As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis, All Shall Perish's Eddie Hermida, Whitechapel's Phil Bozeman, Of Mice & Men's Austin Carlile, After the Burial's Anthony Notarmaso, Disfiguring the Goddess' Cameron "Big Chocolate" Argon, ex-Bury Your Dead member Myke Terry and former Suffokate musician Ricky Hoover.

As previously reported, the show was filmed for a DVD release. Proceeds from the event, and presumably the forthcoming DVD, will go toward the education of Lucker's daughter. To donate, click here.
