Sports Talk Host Rich Eisen Pays Off Jerry Cantrell Fantasy Football Bet by Dressing as Steel Panther Member
If running the 40 at the NFL combine never pays off for him, maybe sports talk host Rich Eisen might have a future in rock. Thanks to a makeover by Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell, he certainly looks the part.
During Friday's (Jan. 13) broadcast of The Rich Eisen Show, the host was visited by Cantrell and made good on a bet he had made with the guitarist over the championship game in Cantrell's yearly celebrity fantasy football league. As payment for the loss, Eisen broadcast his radio and Audience Network TV show dressed in garb resembling Steel Panther's Lexxi Foxx.
"You are a man for holding up your side of the bet," says Cantrell, sporting a Steve Largent Seattle Seahawks jersey and a Pittsburgh Steelers cap. When asked by Eisen about what he was wearing, Cantrell told him that he mirrored Lexxi's look, joking, "He wears it a little better, but he's been doing it for years."
The wardrobe came complete with rings and bracelets provided by Cantrell, as well as a "rolodex of backstage passes," including laminates for Alice in Chains, Metallica, Muse, Pearl Jam, Guns N' Roses, Mastodon and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Eisen's fingernails were also painted. And completing the look, Cantrell gifted Eisen with some silver Aviator glasses, while Quiet Riot's "Cum on Feel the Noize" pumped through the show's speakers. "I'm hot as all hell. Now I know why you guys sweat," stated Eisen.
The talk host later had more fun with his getup, leaving the studio to head out into the concourse of his building, greeting passers-by and stopping in at the local coffee shop and dining area. You can watch that video below.
