There's fresh details coming to life before your eyes concerning the new Rob Zombie remix collection, 'Mondo Sex Head.' The singer has debuted the cover art for the disc.

Zombie changed from the initial idea. The singer had his scantily clad model, in black and white, posing stomach down on the floor with her short bottoms riding up to show a little of her projecting-upward hind side. In its place now features a kitty cat, also shaded in black and white with one bright red eye.

Zombie tells Rolling Stone, "I thought it fit the vibe of the record perfectly and had an old-school Ohio Players vibe. I never thought it would be a problem since it seemed tame to me … but it was. No one would carry the CD. Anything with death and violence is totally fine, but anything with sex, forget about it. So instead of censoring that cover and ruining it, I just removed the ass shot and replaced it with a pussy shot." See the original and current cover at Rolling Stone's website.

As for the disc, Zombie says that after doing remixes in the '90s, he decided the idea had run its course a bit. But recently he started hearing more DJs that he liked and decided to revive the remix album concept. "I figured the demand had returned," says Zombie. "Everything old is new again, I guess."

Of the newly reworked tracks on the record, Zombie says he's fond of Jonathan "J-Devil" Davis taking on 'Thunder Kiss '65,' and he's also a fan of Photek's 'Living Dead Girl,' citing its "hypnotic atmospheric and trippy vibe."

Zombie's 'Mondo Sex Head' arrives Aug. 7. Pre-orders have begun for the album here.
