Back in November, radio station KFMX in Lubbock, Texas, got the scoop that lead singer Josey Scott had decided to leave his band Saliva to pursue a career as a Christian solo artist. At that time, the band wasn’t sure if they would continue on without Scott or replace him, and now, the verdict is in!

The band recently announced Bobby Amaru as their new singer. Amaru is a singer, songwriter and producer from Florida who fronted his own band Amaru and also played drums in a band called Burn Season.

Saliva’s guitarist Wayne Swinny told KFMX that the refreshed lineup has recorded three new songs with Amaru and are getting ready to shop them around.

They plan on touring in February to let their fans get to know their new singer and what they now sound like with him at the helm. According to Swinny, “He has a GREAT voice and will not only bring some fresh blood into the band but; will also put a new spin on the Saliva sound.”
