Get ready for the next step in the intriguing career of Slipknot percussionist Joey Jordison. With the band in between albums, he's found time to launch the hard-hitting new outfit, Scar the Martyr, and Loudwire and Noisecreep are proud to exclusively bring you the band's new video for 'Blood Host' (watch above).

Given the newness of the band, they chose to give viewers a true feel for the music. Director Mark Eshleman let the cameras roll in the band's Des Moines, Iowa rehearsal space and captured the heaviness and brutality of 'Blood Host' in its most honest form.

Clocking in at just over six minutes, this clip gives viewers a chance to hear what relatively unknown frontman Henry Derek can bring to the table and rest assured he's got the vocals needed to front this heavy outfit. Joey Jordison's powerful drumming along with guitar work from Jed Simon and Kris Norris, keep the song chugging along.

Having just finished shows with Danzig and Huntress, Scar the Martyr will continue their fall touring with new dates launching on Sept. 27 in Kansas City, Mo. If you like what you hear out of 'Blood Host,' be sure to check out Scar the Martyr's self-titled debut disc, due Oct. 1. It can be pre-ordered via iTunes or via the band's own online store.
