Move over Bing Crosby! While Christmas classics might not be what comes to mind when you first think of Scott Weiland, on his latest release, 'The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,' the Stone Temple Pilots frontman shows off a completely different side. Crooning out well orchestrated Christmas tunes in a style reminiscent of the 1930s and 1940s, Weiland delivers on timeless Christmas carols harkening back to days gone by.

Weiland traded in his eyeliner and megaphone for a fedora and tie on this family friendly collection of hits that include everyone's favorites from 'Silent Night' to 'White Christmas.' Stylistically the songs cover a broad range from big band to bossa nova.

While it seems like a huge departure for the rocker, Weiland tells Billboard, "To tell the truth, I've been singing Christmas music my whole life." His goal was definitely to extend a nod to the early era of music, saying, "That was a golden era of really, really creative music."

Watch the video for 'Winter Wonderland' above, but be prepared, it's a stark contrast to the Weiland you know!
