September Mourning are one of the most intriguing bands to emerge in the past few years. The alternative hard rock act is releasing music in conjunction with a graphic novel series that will also serve to tell the band's story. Here, we have the exclusive premiere of their new song 'Children of Fate' (listen above).

The band consists of lead singer September, bassist Shadou, drummer Stitch and guitarists Riven and Wraith. They've opened for Marilyn Manson on tour, and they've been described as a cross between Manson and Lady Gaga. Other influences include My Chemical Romance, Motionless in White and Paramore.

'Children of Fate' is not only the title of the song we're premiering in the audio-visual player above, it's also the name of the band's fan base, as dubbed by lead singer September.

Regarding the song, September tells us, "'Children of Fate' is a call to arms for every person who has felt helpless, hopeless or worthless...a battle cry against the negativity we are surrounded by everyday. It is a song about the strength of knowing it's not just you, alone, verses the world, it is all of us together verses whatever stands in our way. Musically, It is the first chapter in the story of September Mourning."

As mentioned, September Mourning will be releasing new music in conjunction with a graphic novel series created by September and Top Cow Comics CEO Marc Silvestri. The band's debut album, produced by Howard Benson, is set for a spring 2015 release. Additionally, the band is slated to perform at the 2015 Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, in May. In the meantime, check out the song 'Children of Fate' above.
