Sepultura Unveil New Song ‘The Age of the Atheist,’ Announce Fall North American Tour

The title of the upcoming album (set to be released Oct. 29) from veteran Brazilian metal act Sepultura is a mouthful: ‘The Mediator Between Head And Hands Must Be The Heart.’ Now, the band has unleashed the first single from the album, ‘The Age of the Atheist’ (listen above) via Metal Hammer.

The single will be released next week on colored vinyl and digitally. In addition to ‘The Age of the Atheist,’ it also includes a cover version of Death’s ‘Zombie Ritual.’

Meanwhile, Sepultura will be touring North America in support of the album beginning in November. The ‘Tsunami of Metal’ tour will also include Unearth, Kataklysm and Dark Sermon on all dates. Joey Jordison’s Scar the Martyr and Anciients will appear on select dates.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience to start the celebration of a 30-year career with the strongest album we’ve ever made in our history,” says guitarist Andreas Kisser. “Can’t wait to perform the songs from the new album on stage! We are coming back to America and Canada with full force and with a hunger to destroy everything! It will be a tsunami of metal!!! See you all on the road!”
