Serj Tankian was the musical guest on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' last night (July 11), during which the System of a Down singer performed 'Butterflies' and the title track from his new solo album 'Harakiri.'

The mood was unique at the 'Jimmy Kimmel' taping, with the crowd brandishing massive flashing glow-sticks while Serj and his band (the F.C.C.) performed. Serj performed the song 'Harakiri' first, showcasing the slower and more vocally driven characteristics of the new album, receiving a great response from the crowd.

Tankian and the F.C.C. played one more track for the fans, 'Butterflies,' which is more of an all-inclusive rock song depicting Serj's unique vocal progressions. Although it wasn't a perfect performance when it came to the band's vocal harmonies, the track still translated well live with Tankian's nature-based lyrics resonating powerfully for the more analytical fans to take in.

Serj Tankian released a captivating video for 'Harakiri' only two days ago, but the eccentric musician has just unveiled another video for 'Occupied Tears.' The video showcases the more political side of Tankian's music, delivering an anti-war message mixed with powerful animation.
