Seven Day Sonnet, ‘Hapless’ – Exclusive Free Download

Seven Day Sonnet
Big Time Records

Chicago rockers Seven Day Sonnet are currently heating up radio with their new single ‘Farewell to Good Days’ and we’re offering a free download of the band’s previous single, ‘Hapless,’ exclusively on Loudwire. Both tunes will appear on the band’s forthcoming 2012 album.

On ‘Hapless,’ frontman Ben VanBuskirk delivers the song’s lines with clean and dreamy vocals that still have an edge: “Don’t want to remember / My darkest days / Goodbyes are forever / You slipped away / No longer together / So cold and gray / You left me forever / Alone and empty.”

Complete with heavy and soaring riffs, ‘Hapless’ manages to keep a certain groovy aspect with crashing drum patterns — not to mention lead guitarist Mike Scarlata’s piercing solo.

Seven Day Sonnet have opened up for bands such as Nonpoint and Sevendust, and they are getting ready to embark on a string of tour dates with Sugar Red Drive. Click below for your free download of ‘Hapless.’
