Sick Puppies vs. Thrice – Cage Match

Goldy Locks / Vagrant Records
Goldy Locks / Vagrant Records

Sick Puppies have done it! Their current single “Where Do I Begin” knocked off four-time Cage Match champ — The Pretty Reckless’ “Take Me Down” — and is now hoping to put together a streak of its own. But can the motivational rocker keep the momentum going against their next opponent?

Thrice step into the Cage Match after a few years away, but the reactivated band have been enjoying a steady climb up the charts with “Black Honey” off their To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere disc. The moody track builds in aggression and has become a fan favorite.

So let’s get into this. Check out both Sick Puppies “Where Do I Begin” and Thrice’s “Black Honey” in the players below and once you’ve rocked both songs, let us know who you want to advance to next week’s Cage Match by voting in the poll provided.

(This Cage Match will run until Oct. 17 at 2PM ET. Fans can vote once per hour! So come back and vote often to make sure your favorite song wins!)

Rules of Cage Match:
Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight cage matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
