Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators may have just wrapped up a long tour run in support of ‘Apocalyptic Love’ but instead of laying low, the guitarist is gearing up to rock for a cause. Slash is joining the lineup of Rock N’ 2 Remember – a benefit concert being held to raise money for the families of the firefighters who lost their lives battling the recent fires in Arizona, as well as the residents who were affected by those fires.

The benefit show is scheduled for Aug. 25 at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds in Prescott, Ariz. Slash will join a bill of artists that include: Storm of Perception, Razer, John Fiddler and Stella’s Infirmary.

On June 30, the Granite Mountain Hotshots team lost 19 of their 20 person crew battling the fatal wildfires that burned up over eight thousand acres of land in Arizona. The devastation included the loss of 129 homes leaving many displaced residents.

The money raised will be distributed to several Arizona based charities. Among them are the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, the Prescott Fire Fighters Charities, the 100 Club of Arizona and the displaced residents of Yarnell.

Tickets are currently on sale for the event, visit the official site to purchase credits and support the cause.
