Amanda Knox, the American student who was found guilty in 2009 of murdering roommate Meredith Kercher in Italy, was set free today (Oct. 3) after an appeals court overturned the decision. Ex-Guns N' Roses axe-man Slash and the Offspring guitarist Noodles were quick to react on Twitter.

Slash wrote: "Congratulations to Amanda Knox & her family for their victory today."

The Offspring's Noodles commented, "I'd rather be wrongly convicted in Italy than in Arkansas. New jury in Perugia made the right call IMO." Noodles' mention of Arkansas was likely a reference to the West Memphis Three, who were freed from prison recently after 18 years behind bars.

"I'm not a promiscuous vamp. I'm not violent ... I have not killed, I have not raped, I was not there, I was not present," Knox told the Italian courtroom earlier in the day. "I want to go home, I want to go back to my life, I do not want to be punished and to have my life taken away from me for something I have not done, because I am innocent."
