Slipknot are once again staging their popular Knotfest music weekend, but it seems a bit of a waste not to have more dates around the event. As such, the band has filled up their October with more shows.

The group will hit the road for the better part of two weeks in the lead up to Knotfest, sharing stages with Suicidal Tendencies and Beartooth along the way. The trek will kick off in Bismarck, N.D. on Oct. 13, dips into Canada for three shows and primarily travels along the Pacific Northwest. Just prior to Knotfest, Slipknot will also take part in the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif.

Slipknot are currently headlining the "Summer's Last Stand" tour with support from Lamb of God, Bullet for My Valentine and Motionless in White. That trek, which just got underway last week, will keep Slipknot on the road into early September. However, the band will get a nice breather before resuming their touring in October. The band is currently promoting their .5: The Gray Chapter album. After initially garnering attention for the singles "The Negative One" and "The Devil in I," Slipknot have continued the run with "Custer" and now their current single "Killpop."

In other Slipknot news, the band has teamed with Spotify and Shazam to create nine unique playlists, each curated by members of the band. Fans can "unmask" a new playlist every Monday and Thursday over the next four weeks at this location.
