A longtime representative for Ibanez guitars may have accidentally confirmed that Slipknot will be headlining the 2012 Rockstar Mayhem Festival this year. The official lineup is supposed to be revealed tomorrow (Jan. 25), but it looks like we may have gotten a sneak peak a little early.

At this past weekend's National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) in Anaheim, Calif., Russ Rosenfeld was showing off a signature Mick Thomson Ibanez six-string, when the rep dropped some of the biggest news of the year without even realizing it.

"Right here we see two new Mick Thomson Slipknot signature models from Ibanez," Rosenfeld shared with Guitar World. "This being the one that Mick is actually playing on tour and they'll be headlining the Mayhem Festival this summer." Whoops!

The buzz for this year's Mayhem Fest has been huge, with rumors circulating that various incredibly huge names will be among the acts. The news of Slipknot allegedly being one of those names adds some serious fuel to that fire, leaving fans anxious for the official lineup announcement tomorrow.

The 2012 Mayhem Festival is set to hit North America this summer starting June 30 in San Bernadino, Calif.
