It's here!!! Slipknot have just released a new song! The track is called 'The Negative One' and it's now available for streaming on the band's official website.

It's been a long six years since Slipknot gave fans new music with the release of 'All Hope is Gone' in 2008. Although there is no official information on Slipknot's fifth studio album or who took the place of the departed Joey Jordison on drums, we've finally got the upcoming album's first single.

'The Negative One' is pure Slipknot. Focused on a simple yet heavy groove, 'The Negative One' is rich with samples and DJ work, really kicking into full gear when Corey Taylor launches into his hateful growl.

You can hear the song now, but there's one slight catch. After listening to 'The Negative One' for the first time, fans must sign up for an email list before being able to hear it again. The email list gives fellow maggots the first scoop on all Slipknot news, so expect big things to hit your inboxes.

Slipknot will release a music video for 'The Negative One' on Aug. 5, but for now, check out the song by clicking here.
