Starkill, ‘New Infernal Rebirth’ – Exclusive Video Premiere

Century Media

Chicago-based melodic death metal band Starkill are set to unleash their new album ‘Fires of Life’ via Century Media Records, and we’ve got the exclusive shred-tastic premiere of the video for Starkill’s ‘New Infernal Rebirth’ right here on Loudwire.

Formed in 2008, Starkill are an American act, but you’d swear they came right out of Scandinavia. Starkill take influence from symphonic and power metal bands such as Dragonforce and Nightwish along with European death metal-infused acts Children of Bodom and Amon Amarth, while delivering an incredibly technical and finely-tuned brand of metal.

“We wanted to form a band that had aspects of ALL of the above things,” states Starkill frontman Parker Jameson. “Genre-wise, a lot of these bands and musicians are pretty far apart. The core of the band is a melodic-death sound, but we branch off or add aspects of these other influences as we go along. Because of this, a lot of our songs, and even songs within themselves, can transition all across the metal spectrum.”

The video for Starkill’s ‘New Infernal Rebirth’ is a simple one, depicting a performance in the woods. Jameson is often the center of attention, as he shreds through the five-minute song, sweeping and finger-tapping his way to the end.

Check out our exclusive premiere of Starkill’s new video for ‘New Infernal Rebirth’ below. The band’s Century Media debut, ‘Fires of Life,’ is due out April 30 in North America and May 13 in Europe. It is available for pre-order here. You can also catch Starkill on the road in May. See their dates below the video.
