Industrial metal outfit Static-X are back and getting ready to hit the road this summer. The band has announced a string of U.S. tour dates.

Frontman and guitarist Wayne Static commented on the upcoming tour in a press release by saying, "I had a great time over the past few years doing my 'Pighammer' album and solo tours, but it's time to get Static-X back on the road. I can’t wait to tear it up with some old school Evil Disco!”

Support for this first leg of the tour will include bands Davey Suicide and 9 Electric. The trek will be the first for Static-X since they declared a hiatus in 2009. The band’s original bassist Tony Campos will not be joining them on this tour.

Campos released a statement, saying, “I’m proud of my years with Static-X, and want to see the name of the band stay alive and well. I hope that all of our fans will continue to support both Wayne and I in our individual endeavors.”

The tour kicks off on July 15 in El Paso, Texas, in County Coliseum. Expect more announcements for additional dates soon.
