Sum 41 are gearing up for their first album release since Screaming Bloody Murder came out in 2011. Shared via Instagram, Sum 41 served up portions of two rough tracks straight from the studio.

Back in May 2014, frontman Deryck Whibley revealed he had a near-death experience from heavy drinking. Whibley spent a month in the hospital recovering after he collapsed in his home. The singer's fiancé got Deryck rushed to the intensive care unit, later to learn his liver and kidneys had "collapsed" on him. Doctors informed Whibley that another drunken episode could kill the frontman.

The incident led to a reunion between Whibley and Sum 41 guitarist Dave Baksh, who left the band in 2006. Baksh surprised fans at the 2015 Alternative Press Music Awards by performing with Sum 41, shortly after announcing his official return to the band.

The two clips shared by Sum 41 sound like the band's classic sound, so if you love your early 2000s pop punk, you'll want to check them out:
